We were reflecting on it all the way home...the fact that Sean-man was raised by so many of us. Born to Casey and Dave Barnwell almost two decades ago, Sean became the bounce-around kid...dropped off at Mom & Dad's for his toddler years, babysat by Kate, Nikki, Cynde, Abu, Lossine, Chitunga, Kayley (Max), etc. all throughout his childhood, and now a young man heading to Clarkson for engineering. We tried to recreate a family photo of yesteryear, but it became to hard to replicate. Sean's too tall!
It was a wonderful rain event in Pompey that turned into a not-so-bad afternoon for outdoor recreated (including my four-wheelin' 'let's do shots in the woods' expedition to Gretchen.
I'm up early this morning as I need to get to campus to unpack supplies and to ready the week ahead for the teacher institute. It's a short week for them, and the kids arrive next week.
Here's to the week that just was: good food, Olympic trials, visits, a graduation and family. It really does zip by fast.
