At Least I Got an Hour Extra Sleep. I'll Need It to Rest the Bones I Pushed too Hard Thinking They Were Younger

I love running the Vicki Soto each year, simply because it's for a good cause and I'll do anything to protect the integrity of teachers and students. Sandy Hook was a tragedy, but her family and friends have kept her integrity and joy for young people alive. I've walked the last couple of years and this time I chose to run the 2nd half. I felt good. Then I came home to take Karal on our usual walk. I knew when I drove to Trumbull to pick up middle-eastern food, that my bones hated me. Ouch.

But Leo, Bev, Nick, Pam, and I had a great meal, sore or not sore.

It really is beautiful right now...with the warm sun and cool air. Running at Seaside Park was stunning, and the entire 5K was a wonderful day outdoors with over 2000 runners and walkers.

I also got myself into Average Joe, a show on Netflix, and when I get sucked in, I get sucked in. I think this is the one Abu started me on this summer. I watched the first episode and went to bed, but he kept going with them. And then the gruesome intrigue appealed more and more (and I hate these kinds of tales). Ah, but storytelling is storytelling and the Russian evil guy in this series has me in Scandal cringe.

Perhaps, by today, the last of the leaves will fall, so I can mow them all down and complete another phase of the wintering to come. And then there's the school life to focus on, which I probably should prioritize.

Ah, but I also saw a creamy sausage, potato, spinach soup I want to make. We shall see. It's going to be dark even earlier, isn't it? Snap. Here we go again.
